BackDoor- Door 3
You continue your journey through the empty otherworld, having just completed a job for the mysterious man on the phone. Unsurprisingly you soon find yourself with a new job, this time in a world of birds and trains. You follow through with your new task, slowly coming closer to finding the truth around your predicament.
Door 3 is the latest chapter in a series of games I have been working on for some time. I hope you enjoy it!
Featuring the incredible music talents of AstroKid, PengoSolvent, Jupebox, Catboss, and James Roach!
Controls are listed by mousing over the controller symbol on the top right corner of the game screen. There’s also a volume toggle in the same location, and the controls are configurable from the main menu.
Keep an eye out for hidden secrets and Easter Eggs!
I'll post a walkthrough in a few days. There's now a walkthrough available! https://solarvagrant.tumblr.com/post/625206915027402752/door-3-walkthrough
EDIT: As of January 2021, Flash is no longer supported on most platforms due to the end-of-life of Flash. While you're now unable to play the game in browser, it is available as part of Flashpoint, a webgame preservation project, or on Newgrounds using the Newgrounds Player. Check either out if you want to play the game!

Hello, solarVagrant! I'm really respect and thank you to create Back Door, This is Such a sophisticated and fun series game.
As you know, there is a Great Fire Wall on the China Internet, which means most of chinese couldn't visit almost all popular website on global Internet without Internet skills and basic English level. So when I was a kid, I played Chinese-language version of these games on a domestic website. on that time it made a big impression on me.
I'm sorry that I could not find your personal page to express my thanks (I send these words on Itch also because it's hard to access Twitter and Tumblr)
In case you didn't know, the number of players to your game in China is conservatively estimated at more than 20,000, and the ratings are all close to 10/10 or 5 stars. (This is based on the number of plays on Chinese mini-game platforms and video sites, which takes into account repeat players in the trilogy)
Unfortunately, after flash was no longer supported, the number of players barely grew. And most domestic players don't care much about the author himself (which has to do with the poor ecology of Chinese games).
Whether you can read this review or not, please let me join the tens of thousands of players across China in expressing our heartfelt thanks and compliments to you!
I hope it's not too late to say this.
Love from China(*^-^*)
Message received! Thank you so much, this was a lovely message to get in my inbox. It's always good to hear that people are enjoying my games, it gives me the motivation to work on the next one.
Hope things are going well for you!
I played backdoor 1 & 2 back when I was a kid so finding out there is a third is a very pleasant surprise
THERE WAS A THIRD??
YUP!
i just found out there was a third again now 😂
is door 3 also on flashpoint?? (seems i could only find door 1 and 2 there
It should be on there? I just checked and it’s listed.
weird... does door3 have a different name or sth? (I'm running flashpoint on mac tho
No, that should be right (and you can see it listed under 'BackDoor' if you check https://nul.sh/misc/flashpoint/ ).
Are you using the MacOS beta? It looks like the latest version is from 2019- I wonder if you need to update the games list somehow to include newer games. BackDoor 3 came out in 2020, so that could be why. I tried searching for some newer games through the MacOS beta version and they haven't been showing up for me.
I don't really know how updating the games list would be done though, sorry.
Thanks! will try that out:)
Let me know if you’re able to get it working, would be great to know if it’s possible!
AIGHT I'M SUPER HYPED FOR THIS GAME. Here are my thoughts on it as I'm playing through it. Nobody asked for it, but here we goooo:
I probably have more thoughts in the 'ol noggin about the tiny details I noticed, but it's probably just incoherent sounds of approval. I'm curious what the next game is about and I wonder how many more will follow in this series! I can't wait to further unravel the identity of the shifty character behind the phone calls!
Keep up the fabulous work! I love your games so FREAKING much! I don't even know the genre of these type of games but I love em like crazy.
I'm so glad you enjoyed the game, thank you!
I've been waiting for this game for awhile and was excited to see you post it! Very whimsical, as always. I'm not sure if this was intentional, but I think I got stuck more often than the last games. But anyway... loved it!
It was intentional! A number of people remarked on Door 2 saying it was too easy, so I wanted to try and make Door 3 a little harder.
However, based on the feedback I've seen so far on Door 3, I probably will ease back on the difficulty for the next game.
